New York Institute of Technology
at Old Westbury,
The de Seversky Mansion

Bartlett, Amoruso & Recce - Architects, P.C. conducted an analysis on the campus of the New York Institute of Technology at Old Westbury.  This examination of the exterior façade of the de Seversky Conference Center, a nationally recognized facility located on the grounds of an historic Gold Coast-era landmark site led to a much needed historical restoration of much of the intricately detailed masonry of the mansion and the surrounding formal sculpted grounds.  Much of this restoration included on-site casting of existing features in order to replicate the early 20th Century ornamentation. In addition, a number of masonry components were modified to today’s standards of moisture control and maintenance in an effort to extend the life of the structure.
